770 Woolsey
770 Woolsey Street, San Francisco
770 Woolsey is a 62 townhome development spanning an entire city block in the Portola neighborhood of San Francisco. L37 principals helped the lead developer, Group i, overcome an extremely organized community opposition group to replace the dilapidated Garibaldi flower greenhouses on the site. Through engaging the community directly and working with the San Francisco Supervisor and Historic Preservation Commision, L37 was able to broker an agreement of support from the community for a housing development that includes a public park and restoration of a greenhouse and develop a project budget that was financially feasible.
With 62 for sale residential units, both the architecture of the townhomes and public park pay homage to the historic past.
